Confidence and Identity

Sometimes the hardest questions aren't about what we're doing, but about who we are.

You may find yourself questioning who you are, who you want to become, or whether the person you're presenting to the world is really you. These struggles can leave you feeling confused, disconnected, or alone—even when your life may look fine from the outside.

Therapy can Help you reconnect with yourself

Therapy can provide a safe space to be honest about what you're experiencing and explore parts of yourself that may have been difficult to acknowledge. With greater understanding can come greater freedom to make choices that feel consistent with who you are.

Confidence isn't simply believing you're good enough. It can also come from having a clearer understanding of who you are and feeling more comfortable living in alignment with that understanding.

When we're uncertain about ourselves—or feel like we're constantly trying to meet other people's expectations—it can be difficult to feel grounded and confident. Therapy can help you explore those questions and develop a stronger sense of self.

The Process

Assessment

The first step is to establish a relationship and review all the important details relevant to your deeply felt concerns.

Plan

Next, it is important to have a structure to follow. A recovery process will be identified, processed, and agreed to in order to help guide your work and engender commitment.

Explore

Once a structure is in place you can freely and openly explore your thoughts and actions with a trusted person, hopefully leading to a renewed connection with yourself.

Act

Once exploration and connection to yourself are established, therapy can help you begin to act from this renewed sense of identity

You do not have to figure this out alone
